Jack developed an interest in stained glass artwork through his late mother, Ruth Coyne, who began making pieces as a hobby to decorate her home and to give away as gifts to family members. Jack started out by helping his Mom with her artwork and then progressed to making his own pieces for display at home. He then graduated to creating larger and more challenging Irish (Celtic) pieces for donation to his local church.
Upon retirement from his career as an attorney and aerospace contracts manager, Jack’s hobby grew into a small business managed in Parker by him and his partner, Miki. Inspired by a tiger at the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado, Jack named his business Tiger Eyes Stained Glass. The business focuses on unique animal portraits as well as Celtic art.
